What I Wore… 25th July 2014

Finally something casually and comfy! I have on my River Island dress, I still love this one so much the pattern really cheers me up and my H&M flats with a little plaster on the blister I got yesterday!

For hair and makeup I have done a messy side plait, its plaited backwards and I’ve only taken hair from along my parting, I’ve also put on mascara and Show off lipstick from Topshop.

What I Wore … 24th June 2014

Back from holiday!! It was lovely, ten days of relaxing and sunshine in Madeira , I’m going to do a post soon of my favourite outfits once I’ve got around to washing them but for now I’m enjoying the English sunshine in a new Zara top. It’s really comfy and coped well on the tube in the heat, I’m wearing it with my Asos jeans and H&M blazer and new Kurt Geiger sandals that I got for holiday and I am so pleased with as they didn’t need painfully wearing in at all they were just fine from the start! Think I’ll head out at lunch time and get some sunshine to try and keep my semblance of a tan! Anyone else have to treat getting a tan as a military precision mission?

For hair and makeup I did a backwards French plait and just put on mascara, I’m still on holiday in my head I don’t need makeup up!

What I Wore… 16th May 2014

Dress down Friday!!!! And Friday!!!! Whoooo!!!! Sunny weekend coming up, I’m so excited, can you tell? For dress down I went with my Asos jeans by Noisey May my COS coral jumper with a H&M basic vest underneath and my New Look brown suede boots.

For hair I backwards plaited the side of my hair, basically the same as a French plait but instead of crossing the strands over and into the middle you go under and into the middle. Then makeup I did the usual.

I was boiling on the tube! I had my sleeves rolled up to my elbows and there was a lady sitting down that actually wrapped herself more into her winter coat! It was incredible!

Have lovely weekends everyone!!!

What I Wore … 29th April 2014

I had to wear jeans today I feel like I haven’t worn my high waisted Asos jeans in ages! Had you noticed? : ) I wore my black ones today and added a bit of colour with an old Topshop jumper which I love because of the knitted bobble pattern and bow tie at the back then my Topshop boots and an asos basic vest underneath. I was boiling in my parker today AND I didn’t even bring my scarf today! Spring!!!

For hair I did the trusty old side plait which, no joke, I can do in just over a minute now! Hope everyone got in to work okay or enjoyed working from home today!

What I Wore… 22nd April 2014

So it is meant to be 18 today, fingers crossed and I have gone with light weight garments that still offer some cover for when it’s a bit chilly in the morning, I feel like a bit of a weather worshipper at the moment I do whatever the weather tells me!

I have gone with my patterned Forever 21 trousers, I need to get another pair so I can stop wearing these all the time! My COS black t-shirt. My H&M blazer and my New Look brown suede boots. Hopefully it will hit 18 and I won’t melt on the tube later and can enjoy a lovely sunny walk home!

For hair and make-up I saw a thing ages ago can’t remember where or when but it was about making a plait just knotting your hair, literally getting two pieces and tying them in a knot! So I though I would try that out today instead of a boring old plait. I kinda like it I think I can get the first one to lie a bit better next time but I did three knots then twisted the two strands at the end used a small elastic band and a hair slide to secure and it was done! So quick and easy!

I gone for a bit of colour on my lips with Show off from Topshop which is the one I can’t find any more but looks suspiciously like macaroon! Then just mascara!

What I Wore … 3rd April 2014

I wore my bodycon black Asos dress with slight gathering at the middle although I couldn’t get a good picture of that bit sorry! My red Topshop jumper because it is cold in the office. Tights from M&S. My New Look brown suede boots.

Hair and make-up I did a small plait right at the centre of my parting and pinned it back with curby grips and I did a thin layer of Topshop Beguiled lipstick using my real techniques by Samantha Chapman brush.

Copycat Hairstyle

I can not get enough of plaits! I loved this one because it looked like it would be quick to whip up in the morning when I'm half asleep, so this is the hair style I wanted to copy;

And these are my results, bear in mind I took them when I got back from work so they are a little messier than when I started!

I have been reassured the back was a lot neater before! I also don't have as much hair so I went with a half-updo look instead.

I started with a section of hair at the top my head by my parting and twisted it holding it in the direction it would wrap round my head then I grabbed another section of hair just up from my temple and wrapped it round the twist and then put the two sections together and moved onto  another strand and repeated. Once I had used all the hair at the front of my face I twisted the "plait" tight and pinned it with curby grips at the back of my head and did the other side exactly the same but starting off lower down my head. I think it turned out okay, it was really easy and pretty much lasted the whole day which is great for me because I hate fiddily styles.
