What I Wore … 31st July 2014

I booked a house viewing yesterday for Friday and it was the First of August!!!! August!!!! Christmas is coming people and way too quickly! Today I am wearing the outfit I chickened out on yesterday it is a New Look vest with my Topshop skirt and Steve Madden sandals. I was so hot on the tube yesterday that I think this outfit is actually pretty perfect and I love a floaty skirt makes me feel grown up.

For hair and makeup I took two sections of hair from each side of my parting and twisted then tied then together at the back of my head and pushed the band over on itself. I also put on Rimmel gel eyeliner, mascara and Show Off Topshop lipstick.

What I Wore… 24th July 2014

I have a meeting with the bank today about a decision in principle on a mortgage so I went a bit more cautious with my outfit choice today and have on my Topshop skirt, my H&M smart vest and my Asos sandals which killed my right foot! I had to get the bus home and take them off when I got to the bottom of my road, luckily I only came away with one blister because it totally felt like more. It stung like crazy in the shower! So not cool! At least I got a good outcome from my bank meeting so who cares about a little blister!

For hair and makeup I left it unfussy and just brushed my hair and put on Show off Topshop lipstick.

What I Wore… 4th July 2014

Its going to be another hot day today so I am wearing minimal clothing on dress down Friday with a skirt from boohoo.com, pretty much the only thing I bought and still wear from boohoo, my basic H&M vest and my H&M flats.

For hair and makeup I left it minimal again and just brushed and put on mascara and gel eye liner.

What I Wore… 5th July 2014

I went to a house party to see a friend’s new flat last night, it is lovely and right by London Fields! So I am travelling over to my boyfriends today. I haven’t been brave enough to wear this skirt to work yet, I don’t know why, but thought today would be a good time to give it an outing. It is from … and I wore it with a basic Asos vest and my River Island tee along with my Steve Madden sandals.

For hair I just shoved it all up into a bun which was lucky because it was windy!

What I Wore… 25th June 2014

I am officially sick of wearing jeans in summer! I wear them all winter, which you know, and I think I am definitely a dress person when it finally becomes summer. Having said that I am in a Topshop skirt today… It is so comfy and was lovely on the tube, it’s my first time wearing this with bare legs and I love it! I’ve also put on an Asos vest, a neon pink top which I think is from my mum’s old work and my New Look black boots.

For hair and makeup I did a low twist with a front section of hair put on gel eyeliner and Mac Myth lipstick with some Nivea lip gloss moisturiser.

What I Wore … 24th April 2014

I felt like being a bit smarter at work today than yesterday so I’ve put on my grey tube skirt that my mum made for me, she stitched the ends of a piece of fabric together and sowed on some elastic at the top, so easy for her I would have made it look a mess! But its pretty cold in our office so I had to pair it with a jumper and I maybe shouldn’t have gone so baggy if I wanted to keep up the smart look I put on my peach COS jumper with an Asos high neck vest underneath, my new New Look boots and my Pull and Bear necklace.

For hair and makeup I washed my hair last night so just brushed it this morning and put on mascara. Done!

What I Wore … 17th April 2014

It was the big 1 year anniversary today and we also go a bit of sunshine so I wore my Zara Aztec skirt. My Zara embellished jumper. Tights from M&S and my new New Look lace up boots.

We also got let go at 4 for Easter so I had a very long Easter weekend it felt like it was much needed. We’ve being trying to decide where they should move the third May bank holiday day to instead of having it two weeks after, I think October is the winner so far. What do you think?

New Look Colour Story

I am loving one of the edits New Look has done for Spring/Summer called Summer Colours. It ranges from white to pink with a load of colours inbetween and all the pieces are very on trend. There is a great selection, I think the edit has been done really well and I would happily wear these pieces for spring and summer. They have a great mix of pastel, feminine styles and more statement pieces which is exactly what I want for spring! Below are my favourites.

What I Wore … 4th April 2014

I wore my COS navy Fishermans jumper. My COS grey t-shirt underneath. My basic blue H&M tube skirt. Tights from M&S. My New Look brown suede boots. My old urban outfitters necklace that I got really cheap in the sale.

For hair and makeup I did a thin line of gel eyeliner and back combed the back part of the crown of my head. I have learnt that if you brush your hair first then use batiste dry shampoo and massage it in you keep a lot more of the volume and I did that in the morning not the night before.

What I Wore ... 14th March 2014

I wore a skirt I got last summer from Topshop. A new top from Zara. Black tights, probably from M&S and again my Topshop boots.

For hair and make-up I wore some Topshop Rio Rio lipstick, mascara and tried out another stumble post hair idea of using your curby grips as hair accessories I can't find the original page which gave me the idea but one of the blogs I follow has also done a thing on it. Definitely should have brushed my hair this morning though! I also used some Topshop Matt nail varnish in Dress up Red.

Ready to Wear Fall 2014 Antonio Marras!!!

I loved this collection! There were so many influences bundled into one show that I found it pretty irresistible. I loved the use of different textures and different prints in each look and who can resist a good wolf motif? Inspired by numerous reference points Annemarie Schwarzenbach (http://reallifeiselsewhere.blogspot.co.uk/2011/01/icon-annemarie-schwarzenbach.html), Little Red Riding Hood, Joseph Beuys and Hermann Hesse's Steppenwolf. Which do all, apparently, link together? Anyway my favourite looks below!
