What I Wore… 29th July 2014

Meant to be 27 today!!!! And its already boiling on the tube I regretted not having any water! Today I have gone with my strappy H&M dress to try and get some sunshine at lunch and even out some tan lines and my Steve Madden sandals. I also put on my blue Zara jacket as it was a little windy and grey this morning and the weather has been wrong soooo many time recently.

For hair and makeup I brushed out my hair (totally turned into a puff ball, luckily it calmed down on the journey into work) then used batiste dry shampoo, put on mascara and Show off Topshop lipstick.

What I Wore… 3rd July 2014

I have gone super summery today I got a lot of summer related compliments! I have on an Asos dress that used to have some netting under the skirt but would never sit right and soon got ditched, my H&M flats and my Zara jacket.

For hair and makeup I brushed my hair in the morning and put on some Rio Rio Topshop Lipstick, gel eyeliner from Rimmel and mascara.

What I Wore... 2nd July 2014

Its gonna be a hot one today! I think I may melt on the tube and I am still loving getting to go bare legged to show off some of my running work! Today I am wearing an old H&M dress that I mainly wear on holidays or when it gets hot in England so not very often! I've worn it with my Steve Madden bright blue sandals and my Zara jacket.

For hair and makeup I had another go at the waterfall braid technique I saw but it still didn't work! I gave up in the end and just threaded a piece of hair from the top of my head through the plait as I plaited. I also put on some Show off Topshop lipstick and mascara.

What I Wore… 1st July 2014

What!!!!! White Rabbit and pinch punch first of the month. July already!!!!! I don’t understand why time is disappearing!!! At least it gets me to my holiday quicker and the Tour de France is fast approaching! Very excited about that. Today I wore my bright River Island dress with my blue Zara jacket and New Look plimsolls.

For hair and makeup I saw the latest Vamps music video last night and loved the hair style of the blond girl, she had a thin plait going back into a bun and it looked really free spirited and summery so I thought I would try it out, I can’t really do the bun so I settled for two plaits instead! If anyone else has a go I want to see!! I also put on some Show off Topshop lipstick and mascara.

What I Wore… 30th May 2014

I went for a pocket day today and a bit of clashing prints, I’ve got on my forever 21 patterned trousers, my Zara striped top and Zara jacket and then white trainer liners and plimsolls. I feel a bit like I have stepped out of the 50s but its so comfy and how tanned do the white socks make that little bit of leg look!? I think the lighting is also helping a lot with that. Plus I have completely co-ordinated my colours! Can you tell I have a favourite colour?

For hair and makeup I put my hair in pigtails over night to get a little texture into it and then did a spray of dry shampoo along the parting this morning. I’ve put on gel eyeliner which I have been doing with a different method recently to get a thinner line closer to the lashes, I start on the outer corner furthest from the nose and work up to the middle of the eye in short strokes then switch and start from the inner corner and do a long swoop up to the middle, I like it a lot more than how I did it before, it’s a lot more subtle. I also put on mascara and Topshop Rio Rio lipstick.

Looking forward to the weekend?

What I Wore … 3rd June 2014

It’s June… June!!! Already! This is crazy. I made the most of my first healthy day in June, I got a little sick over the weekend, by wearing a new Zara dress! I love it, it has pockets and a low plunge neck which I don’t often wear and is bright red so its very cheerful. I wore it with black tights, my H&M flats and my sisters Zara orange jacket.

For hair and makeup I put in a side plait but took hair from a little further back so I still had some hair framing my face, put on gel eyeliner by Rimmel and mascara.

What I Wore… 28th May 2014

So looking for shoes that will actually keep my feet dry, unlike my New Look boots which completely bit the dust yesterday, I came across my Pull and Bear wedge trainers and they have been great! I’m wearing them with my Asos blue jeans, my H&M geometric vest with a H&M basic black vest underneath. I also have my COS navy jacket to put on in the office so don’t worry I won’t be sitting around in a vest all day.

For hair and makeup I twisted my ponytail into a bun, put on gel eyeliner and Show off Topshop lipstick.

Any one else get soggy socks yesterday?

What I Wore … 22nd May 2014

I got told I looked sort of summery yesterday so I though I would throw summer in their face today with my new River Island dress from Asos, my blue Zara jacket, skin coloured tights from M&S and my New Look suede boots. I have been wanting a colourful dress for ages, when I look through my wardrobe all my dresses are all quite plain so this is a welcome change. I totally braved it and went with skin coloured tights very proud of myself, first bareish leg day of the year!!

For hair and makeup I did a slightly 50s look and did a low twist with two front sections of hair and then pinned them at the back of my head, I used gel eyeliner from Rimmel and Beguiled Topshop lipstick. I’m really liking daubing on my lipstick you can gradually build up the intensity of the colour and it ends up with a much more matt look.

What I Wore… 20th May 2014

I wanted pockets today so I could more casually take my phone around with me and it was actually pretty windy on the walk home, I was a little worried about revealing too much of myself, so the trusty old jeans seemed like a very good idea. I have found a really nice pair of patterned cotton trousers in H&M, they were sooooo soft but they were blue like my other patterned trousers and I didn’t want two the same, although I think I am going to cave pretty quickly if I don’t find an alternative pair. I also wore my Zara striped top, my New Look suede boots and a jacket stolen from my younger sisters wardrobe who is off travelling at the moment, love that silver lining!

Asos Spring Edit

I am sooooo happy for spring to be here but I am sooooo not prepare for if the weather does cheer up a little. I have no idea what happens to my clothes but they seem to disappear after a year or have just been worn as winter stuff for so long I can’t imagine them any way else. Either one I think now is a good time to get prepared and sort myself out with a spring wardrobe.

I want a spring with lots of flats because I am sick of writing and wearing my Topshop black boots and I want them to be colourful! I love ripped jeans, they are on the top of my spring hit list, cute t-shirts, Chanel like tweet jackets and oversized blazers. I want bright, statement and also girly, floral dresses, patterned trousers and pastel jumpers to wear underneath jackets. I’m not going to get carried away with the sunshine so I am also planning to get some cheery scarves and casual hats to keep me warm.

Trying to keep all those in my head I did an Asos spring edit, my choices below!

Also found a funny article on the BBC about when spring actually starts. It has definitely sprung by now don’t worry.

Ready to Wear Fall 2014 Antonio Marras!!!

I loved this collection! There were so many influences bundled into one show that I found it pretty irresistible. I loved the use of different textures and different prints in each look and who can resist a good wolf motif? Inspired by numerous reference points Annemarie Schwarzenbach (http://reallifeiselsewhere.blogspot.co.uk/2011/01/icon-annemarie-schwarzenbach.html), Little Red Riding Hood, Joseph Beuys and Hermann Hesse's Steppenwolf. Which do all, apparently, link together? Anyway my favourite looks below!
