What I Wore… 27th June 2014

Today I’m going out for drinks in the evening with some long lost friends! They have finally come back from travelling and we have organised a drinks night out. So for this special occasion and because it has decided it won’t actually rain I have gone with my red dress from Zara, my H&M blazer and New Look boots and I am loving this outfit! Tough boots and a cool dress is my kind of fashion, I feel so confident in this and am soooo looking forward to an evening out!

For hair and makeup I tried to do a waterfall plait after having seen a youtube video how-to but my hair hasn’t got enough texture, it keeps slipping out so I’ve ended up with a paltry plait! I’ll have to try another time when I haven’t just washed my hair the night before. I’ve put on gel eyeliner and mascara and still have on my Topshop nail varnish after a little touch up last night.

What I Wore… 26th June 2014

I’ve gone back to flats the boots were a little too much yesterday my feet were roasting by the time I got home so I have my blue plimsolls on today with my t-shirt dress from Oasis, a belt from Urban Outfitters and my H&M blazer.

For hair and makeup I haven’t put in much effort as I am still trying to convince myself to go swimming at lunch I’ve got a bit of mascara on from yesterday and I put on some Show off Topshop lipstick. I also brushed and Babtised my hair this morning And put on some nail varnish last night its from Topshop and called Geography Teacher!

What I Wore… 29th May 2014

I am so thankful the rain stopped this morning as I really needed a flat day, I’ve got on my H&M black flats, M&S tights and my New Look striped dress.

For hair and makeup I twisted random sections on either side and pinned them roughly at the back of my head, put on gel eye liner and Rimmel with Kate red lipstick. I also have on nail varnish by Topshop.

What I Wore… 30th May 2014

I went for a pocket day today and a bit of clashing prints, I’ve got on my forever 21 patterned trousers, my Zara striped top and Zara jacket and then white trainer liners and plimsolls. I feel a bit like I have stepped out of the 50s but its so comfy and how tanned do the white socks make that little bit of leg look!? I think the lighting is also helping a lot with that. Plus I have completely co-ordinated my colours! Can you tell I have a favourite colour?

For hair and makeup I put my hair in pigtails over night to get a little texture into it and then did a spray of dry shampoo along the parting this morning. I’ve put on gel eyeliner which I have been doing with a different method recently to get a thinner line closer to the lashes, I start on the outer corner furthest from the nose and work up to the middle of the eye in short strokes then switch and start from the inner corner and do a long swoop up to the middle, I like it a lot more than how I did it before, it’s a lot more subtle. I also put on mascara and Topshop Rio Rio lipstick.

Looking forward to the weekend?

What I Wore ... 14th March 2014

I wore a skirt I got last summer from Topshop. A new top from Zara. Black tights, probably from M&S and again my Topshop boots.

For hair and make-up I wore some Topshop Rio Rio lipstick, mascara and tried out another stumble post hair idea of using your curby grips as hair accessories I can't find the original page which gave me the idea but one of the blogs I follow has also done a thing on it. Definitely should have brushed my hair this morning though! I also used some Topshop Matt nail varnish in Dress up Red.

Nail Varnish!

So I brushed off the dust on an old favourite nail varnish Topshop 104 Threadbare. See it here and other choices here! I am loving the new matt varnishes and they have just added some pastel ones.

Beauty Twos

Tried to get an arty picture but it was too cold to get everything perfect! Sorry! But here are two beauty products I am loving this week.

The first is a glittery nail varnish by Models Own which I have used like crazy over the christmas new years period and whenever I need a little sparkle! It goes on really easy, looks best with two thin coats and is a nightmare to get off but don't let that put you off it is totally worth it.

The second is a Topshop Lipstick in Rio Rio again this is one I pull out for occasions (last Friday!) it goes on really easy, smells good and doesn't dry my lips out which a lot of lipsticks do. I haven't found a way to make it last a whole night so if anyone has any fool proof tips please let me know!
